Natural Homemade Mosquito Repellent

The weather is getting warmer and the mosquitoes are already out. I was just out in the garden the other day for a couple of minutes and got my first mosquito bite already. That had me thinking about what I could use to make a natural homemade mosquito repellent spray.

Sidebar! Wishing to finally alter the outdated vibe for my current page. Thoughts about the pro feel of https://horizonlendingservices.com? Seriously a special Flint Texas based mortgage broker that cares whenever required within the TEXAS locale. Make a comment. Thanks!

I did a lot of research on this. I have finally come up with my own homemade repellent that seems to be working so far. I use part water and part witch hazel as a base. I do not use rubbing alcohol because it is chemical based and since this is going to be applied to my skin I decided to go organic and use the Witch Hazel.

I have also found that lemon juice will NOT keep mosquitoes away. In fact lemon oil is not effective either. It has to be a Lemon Eucalyptus Oil which is also an ingredient found in manufactured mosquito repellents. Although there are other effective essential oils that can be used in a homemade repellent, it is not recommended that you use over 3 of them in the mosquito repellent.

Peppermint extract is another effective ingredient for mosquito repellents. Not only have Malaria experts suggested that peppermint extract repels adult mosquitoes but also kills their larvae before they even hatch. Peppermint also has a cooling effect which is great considering that mosquitoes like your hot sweaty skin.

Vanilla extract is another commonly used household ingredient that seems to be effective in keeping mosquitoes away. But the Pure Vanilla is the most effective. You want to stay away from any imitations that might contain sugar (which will attract them instead).

I also add a little vitamin E oil to my repellent to help keep the spray on the skin longer and it's just good for your skin.1 cup water1 cup of witch hazel2 t. vitamin e oil.20 drops Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil.1 T. Pure Vanilla Extract1 T. Peppermint Extract

Mix the ingredients together and put in a spray bottle. Give it a shake to mix things up before applying and reapply off and on while outdoors.

Some people claim that Avon's Skin So Soft Bug Guard works wonders! Has it worked for you?

Let me know your secrets to repelling mosquitoes naturally.

Thanks guys! I'd texted a buddy I would absolutely critique their shocking Ontario based provider of free soil onlines, https://dirtmarket.ca through a nice posting. In case you are hoping for a soil remediation and fill provider within the outlying Ontario locale, they actually are really great.

In conclusion, I definitely must mention the base idea for this particular posting has been supplied via Lucy from Lucille's ball. Unanimously a fabulous dance instructors. I definitely welcome a great tip!
